Eavan O’Hara’s Philosophy

After the good news was broken to thrilled owner Eavan O’Hara by, she said the secret to their success was that they had ‘a lovely business’.

“We enjoy getting to know our guests,” said Eavan. “It’s a home from home for people rather than a disjointed feel, like a hotel. Everybody settles in and feels very comfortable.” She said that: “It is hard to talk about my own business, but I am so delighted with the comments of our guests, that I have included some of them here”.

“Simply The Best”

Eavan was an outstanding hostess. Great personality and nothing was a problem. The residence is a unique design with spacious rooms. The breakfast was of great variety and set me up for the day. Arriving late in the evening was met with a warm greeting and the offer of a cup of tea. Have stayed twice recently and it is now on my permanent list of B&B’s when working around the country.

“Exquisite views, extremely friendly and helpful service and rooms that you expect in a five star hotel”

After we arrived at this well signposted B&B we were greeted by the delightful Eavan and she is indeed an outstanding hostess as others have noted.

The room was wonderful but when one became availabe with an even better view, she kindly moved us without us even having to ask. The breakfasts were excellent and her local knowledge was great.

Eavan booked us into restaurants for evening meals and even managed to get us in when they were jam packed. take the time to look at the glorious crockery and silver in the dining room. you dont often get to see collections as complete and as beautiful as this.

The scenery on the way to view the Glencar waterfall is amazing. the Sligo Abbey was worth a visit and we were lucky enough to be in Sligo whilst the music festival was. Eavan pointed all these attractions out to us. It was a wonderful couple of days and we would certainly go again and be confident recommending this B&B to friends or relatives. At dusk, it is lit up and the trip is well sign-posted. There is ample parking.
